Maya women use their perajes to wrap around themselves to hold their groceries, their babies, firewood, or whatever they might need to carry. Also they fold them and wear them on their head against the sun.
The Maya figures appear to be dancing, with quetzal birds, the national bird of Guatemala, across the top.
