Maya women use their perajes to wrap around themselves to hold their groceries, their babies, firewood, or whatever they might need to carry. Also they fold them and wear them on their head against the sun.
This is finely woven and hand embroidered cotton, with horses, birds and smaller ducks and rabbits.
