Saint Anthony of Padua was born and raised by a wealthy family in Lisbon, Portugal and died in Padua, Italy. A Franciscan priest, he was a powerful preacher and was devoted to the sick and poor. He is the patron saint of lost things. This is a beautiful, well preserved 18th century painting.
